Are you or do you know someone whose “new normal” includes feelings of uncertainty, stress, sadness, and possibly joy at the same time? Would you like to help others or yourself feel more optimistic and hopeful? It is not uncommon to experience a vast assortment of emotions and stressors throughout the day that can be confusing to process. Join us for this one hour lunchtime session to explore a few techniques from GEM, Get Experience in Mindfulness curriculum and other resources to assist in identifying emotions, and approaching life and emotions with a mindful perspective.
This session will provide skills and knowledge to enhance emotional wellness utilizing mindfulness techniques. Curriculum authors Sarah Goldring and Karen Johnston will guide us to identify and ease emotional tensions, and coach participants in awareness and acceptance of the present moment.
This program is free thanks to Rural Opioid Technical Assistance Funding from the Substance Use and Mental Health Services Administration (SAHMSA). It is brought to you by University of Delaware Cooperative Extension, a service of the UD College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, a land-grant institution.
