This seminar will be an introduction to the research being conducted by pre- and postdoctoral trainees in the Prevention And Methodology Training (PAMT) Program. They will present summaries of their work, which combines prevention research with innovative methodology. These presentations will touch on a number of substantive areas, including alcohol use among adolescents and young adult; peer selection and influence during adolescence; the longitudinal relationship between substance use and mental health in adolescents, particularly whether substance use mediates mental health outcomes; the etiology of childhood obesity; and the long-term health consequences of alcohol use.
