Maintaining recovery from substance use disorder requires both effort and resources to build a better life and sustain wellbeing. Unfortunately, many who are trying to build a better life after addiction lack the support and resources they need to build that life. Recovery centers provide these individuals with social support, community, and access to resources they need to build and sustain their recovery.
With the goal of developing an assessment protocol to capture data and understand how these recovery centers support their community members, our study team traveled to multiple centers across Pennsylvania to develop and edit the scope and substance of daily diary and baseline surveys. We then carried out pilot data collections at these centers and others. This presentation will explain the process we followed to gather community feedback and present information on data collection compliance.
