Shannon O’Lone is a SPEP™ Implementation Specialist at EPIS. As the Northwestern Regional SPEP™ Specialist, Shannon brings more than 28 years of experience to the team. Shortly after receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Art Therapy from Mercyhurst University, Shannon began her career working in secure detention and a collaborative community treatment program aimed at diverting youth away from out-of-home placement. She joined Erie County Juvenile Probation as a Treatment Court Officer, and then in 2009 transitioned into her role as Balanced and Restorative Justice Coordinator for Erie County JPO.

As a facilitator of several evidence-based programs, including Aggression Replacement Training and the Impact of Crime Curriculum, Shannon says she knows first-hand how important service delivery is to creating change for juvenile offenders.

Shannon has served on several juvenile justice state committees over the years and is committed to constant quality improvement measures and in delivering quality programming to youth. Shannon brought her collaborative talents to the EPIS team in 2018 as a SPEP™ Implementation Specialist and continues to provide technical assistance across Pennsylvania as a Level 3 SPEP™ Master Trainer. She also continues to champion the SPEP™ Informed Concept promoting the practical use of SPEP™ data at the probation and provider level.
