Sara Miller is a postdoctoral fellow in the Prevention and Methodology Training program. She is interested in evaluating psychosocial and daily predictors of substance use among older adults and identifying health consequences of alcohol use in later life. Her research has implications for informing public health programs targeting alcohol-related consequences in older adulthood. Sara is mentored by Stephanie Lanza, professor of biobehavioral health, and Jennifer Maggs, professor of human development and family studies.

Sara received her Ph.D. and M.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from Pennsylvania State University and her M.P.H. in Health Behavior and Health Education from the University of Michigan.

About PAMT

The Prevention and Methodology Training (PAMT) program, funded by a T32 grant from the National Institute on Drug Abuse, trains predoctoral and postdoctoral researchers in the integration of prevention science and statistical methodology for the behavioral sciences.
