Teresa Phelan is a third-year student majoring in digital and print journalism through the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications with a minor in sociology through the College of the Liberal Arts.
She is currently the opinion editor at the Daily Collegian, Penn State’s independent, student-run news outlet. She has been a columnist, a lifestyle reporter and a member of the newsletter team. Some of her publications include:

Teresa brings her expertise in journalism to the Prevention Research Center, combining her passion for storytelling with the research and scientific work conducted at the center. She is eager to ensure the public can understand and implement the ever-changing terminology and methods studied at the center.
Her career goals include working with communities to share stories that provide insight into the unique and individual lives that surround us.
