Melissa Fausey works on the Coalition Check-Up project and provides technical assistance to coalitions throughout Pennsylvania. The goal of the project is to increase coalition member engagement, bring additional resources to Pennsylvania communities, and promote healthy youth development. Throughout the project, Melissa has contributed to developing Coalition Check-Up materials and technical assistance guides with a focus on using motivational interviewing techniques. She is also a Communities That Cares (CTC) Coach for several coalitions across Pennsylvania, assisting them in progressing through the CTC process.

Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Temple University and is currently enrolled in Penn State’s Project Management Certificate Program. Prior to coming to EPIS, Melissa was the Community Coordinator for the Juniata County Prevention Board. She facilitated the coalition through the Communities That Care framework, cumulating in a working Community Action Plan.
