Katelin Trautmann is a postdoctoral scholar working with Taylor Scott on an NSF-funded project to better understand the role of research institutions in developing public policy infrastructure to support research translation. She holds Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Texas at Austin, where she engaged in qualitative and mixed methods research with the goal of increasing equity in educational policymaking. Her work focuses on policymaking at the intersection of race, gender, and religion. In addition, she has more than ten years of experience as an elementary school teacher and administrator.

I am passionate about the use of research in policymaking at all levels to enhance the lives of students and families.
