Erica Velazquez is a second-year Nutritional Science major in the College of Health and Human Development at Penn State. Her goal is to become a registered dietitian and work in schools with young athletes, helping them build healthy habits that support both their current well-being and future athletic performances. She is especially passionate about sharing the importance of prevention, because teaching kids and adults how to take care of their health early on can make a lasting difference in their lives.
Outside of academics, Erica enjoys photography and social media, which give her a creative way to connect with others and share her past experiences through positive messages. Through her internship with the PRC, she looks forward to gaining hands-on experience, strengthening her communication skills, and contributing fresh ideas to support and promote healthier lifestyles in the community.
