Eric Harrison’s research integrates prevention science, substance use research, and quantitative methodology to improve outcomes for youth involved in or at risk of involvement in the juvenile justice system. His work examines how individual risk and protective factors, service matching, program quality, and organizational implementation processes interact to shape substance use and behavioral outcomes over time. He is particularly interested in using linked administrative data and multilevel, longitudinal, and quasi-experimental methods to identify opportunities for improving prevention and service delivery.

About PAMT

The Prevention and Methodology Training (PAMT) program, funded by a T32 grant from the National Institute on Drug Abuse, trains predoctoral and postdoctoral researchers in the integration of prevention science and statistical methodology for the behavioral sciences.

"My long-term goal is to produce actionable, policy-relevant evidence that helps juvenile justice systems and community organizations better identify youth needs, match youth to appropriate services, and support positive developmental outcomes."
