Dennis Scanlon has extensive experience in leading complex, multi-method evaluations, most recently serving as principal investigator of the Aligning Forces for Quality evaluation. His past work has involved building and organizing evaluation teams, developing productive and collaborative working relationships with program sponsors and program grantees in order to conduct both formative and summative evaluations. In addition, his evaluation work prioritizes the dissemination of study findings, including rich information about program implementation and process at the early stage in an effort to inform program funders, grantees, and other participating stakeholders.
My research focuses on understanding the role of measurement, incentives, quality improvement, and individual and organizational behavior change for improving important health care outcomes, including clinical quality, patient experience, and economic efficiency.
