Casey Cunningham supports the implementation of the Research-to-Policy Collaboration (RPC) model by brokering relationships between the policymaking and research communities. Responsibilities include meeting with legislative staff about their policy goals and research needs, writing and editing evidence-based communication materials (fact sheets, policy memos) for congressional audiences, and providing data analysis support to assist with the evaluation of the RPC model.
Casey earned her M.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State University in 2023. While in graduate school, Casey trained with the RPC as an intern and then as a fellow. Prior to her work with the RPC, Casey worked with the UConn Institute for Collaboration on Health, Intervention, and Policy as a lab coordinator, and with the UConn Rudd Center for Food Policy and Health as a research assistant.
