Amanda Applegate has been editing for health and statistics researchers since 2010. She holds a B.S. in music therapy from Elizabethtown College. She started editing after spending ten years as a music therapist and another few years as a supports coordinator for adults with intellectual disabilities. In addition to substantive editing and copyediting, she enjoys helping researchers plan grant proposals, automate tasks like reference management, and manage compliance with NIH grant requirements. She is especially interested in working with non-native English speakers and in helping writers ensure that they are using the most inclusive language in their work.
