Dr. Mallett will be presenting an overview of her work in the areas of skin cancer prevention and high-risk drinking. Specifically, she will present outcomes from Project Options, the goal of which was to develop a brief behavioral intervention to increase patients’ use of UV protection to be delivered by dermatologists in the context of a routine office visit. In addition to outcomes, Dr. Mallett will discuss benefits and challenges to incorporating behavioral interventions into a medical context. Dr. Mallett will also provide an overview of her ongoing 5-year longitudinal study focusing on examining patterns of alcohol-related consequences among college students.
