“Long-term Results of School-based Preventive Programs—Just a Sweet Dream?”

My presentation will focus on the challenge of sustaining the results of school-based preventive programs after the active program period is over, elaborating on some of the factors that promote or inhibit implementation and sustainability. I will be discussing recent and ongoing research that addresses key factors associated with the implementation and sustainability of school-based preventive programs. Among the addressed factors will be organizational development as a key aspect of effective programs and how sustainability planning can be integrated into the implementation process.
