Work from the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network on the inclusion of early childhood development in the post-2015 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs, successor to the Millennium Development Goals) will be presented along with an update on the SDG process. The bulk of this lecture will then focus on evidence regarding mechanisms for improving the quality of early childhood education at scale, from studies in Chile, the U.S., and low- and middle-income countries.
