Tier 1: Foundational Learning for Broad Impact

Tier 1 offers broad, accessible, and low-intensity technical assistance through a wide range of free resources. At the center of this tier is the Prevention Learning Portal (PLP), an online platform featuring self-paced courses on essential topics, including upstream prevention, logic models, risk and protective factors, program evaluation, and evidence-based practices.

In addition to online learning, users can explore a rich, curated e-library of articles, books, webinars, videos, and practical tools to support their work. Many participants—especially in social work and education—can also earn professional development credits, making it easy to build skills while meeting certification requirements.

Ongoing evaluation ensures the Prevention Learning Portal remains high-quality and relevant. User feedback, course completion data, and participant experiences are continuously collected and used to improve content and enhance the learning experience.
