This project involves four distinct and separate subprojects undertaken by the Center on behalf of the PCCD.

Research and Technical Assistance to Research-based Programs

The Center is continuing its research and technical assistance related to the PCCD Research-based Delinquency and Violence Prevention Programs Initiative. The Center will continue to conduct research on the experiences of grantees, with a strong focus on documenting the impact of funded programs on the target population and promoting sustainability of programs beyond PCCD funding.

CTC Process Evaluation

An outcome evaluation will be conducted of Communities That Care sites. This will involve comparing outcomes in CTC and non-CTC communities within the Commonwealth, utilizing Youth Risk Survey data.

CTC Outcome Evaluation

A process evaluation will be conducted of Communities That Care sites through web-based surveys of key leaders and stakeholders, as well as the Regional Strategic Consultants who provide technical assistance to CTC sites.

State Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems Plan

The fourth component will be carried out primarily by the University of Pittsburgh Office of Child Development, and involves the development of a Statewide Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems Plan.
