Pre- , Post-, Human Resources, and Other Services

Advise PIs on procedures and special approvals, as needed, to ensure that the PI complies with Federal regulations A-21, A-110, A-133 terms and conditions of the award
Monitor subrecipients to ensure that subrecipient project expenditures are charged in accordance with the terms and conditions of the award and/or University policy
Coordinate, facilitate, monitor, and certify subrecipient invoice review for payment
Serve as liaison between PI and sponsor’s business offices as needed
Review and approve post-award documentation regarding re-budgeting of funds and assist the PI with securing approvals of budget amendments by sponsor
Monitor and coordinate the submission of closeout project reports required by the terms of the award when the award expires; assist in the completion of closeout procedures as necessary; participate in addressing specific closeout issues
Interface with Principal Investigators, Department Administrators, and Sponsors regarding interpretation of Sponsor’s terms and conditions, and University’s policies and procedures; and identify implications and ramifications to Sponsored Program’s operating procedures for post-award administration
Assist Departmental Administrators and Principal Investigators with questions regarding the post-award administration of sponsored projects
Provide input on establishing, reviewing and communicating policies and procedures related to sponsored programs administration

Engage in accounting, budget, audit and cash control functions associated with College funding
Work with the College Financial Officer and Finance/Budget Office staff in administering all aspects of University fiscal policy and procedures
Provide leadership and training in the implementation of new financial systems
Other administrative tasks in support of center operations

Appointments of fixed-term academic, staff and graduate assistants
Salary distribution and assignments
Wage payroll/timecards
Coordination of annual reviews of center staff
Communication of upcoming changes in University benefits plans
Communication about and coordination of information-gathering for University salary and job classification programs
Communication about upcoming professional development opportunities being offered at the University
Compliance with applicable Federal and State laws and University policies and procedures

Domestic and international travel, travel arrangements and lodging
Fleet Services reservations
Other logistical needs, including room reservations for meetings and workshops, Adobe Connect, etc.
Visits by faculty researchers and collaborators from other universities
Visits by international researchers and collaborators
Maintenance of PRC listserves and directories
