Ashley Stauffer is a trained clinical mental health counselor and research management professional with knowledge at the intersection of research, practice, and technology. As Assistant Director for the Administrative Data Accelerator, she is responsible for the implementation and oversight of the Data Accelerator’s research activities, operations, and technology. She is passionate about translating complex ideas and information into actionable plans to create change for social good and to inform policymaking decisions.

As a leader working in interdisciplinary teams, Ashley has particular interest in creating opportunities for diverse groups of professionals to get unstuck and make decisions to move ideas forward. Her professional goals include:

  • Lead innovation and creativity in the use of administrative data in social science and prevention research
  • Improve the human condition through partnerships among research and information technology professionals
  • Reduce system barriers and limitations through violence prevention research and policymaking


  • M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling
  • B.A. in Psychology with minors in studio art and sociology


  • Certified project management professional (PMP)
