Biography

Shannon O’Lone is a Juvenile Justice System Improvement Specialist at the EPISCenter. As the Northwestern Regional SPEP Specialist, Shannon brings nearly 25 years of experience to the team. Shortly after receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Art Therapy from Mercyhurst University, Shannon began her career working in secure detention and a collaborative community treatment program aimed at diverting youth away from out-of-home placement. She joined Erie County Juvenile Probation as a Treatment Court Officer, and then in 2009 transitioned into her role as Balanced and Restorative Justice Coordinator for Erie County JPO. As a facilitator of several evidence-based practices, including Aggression Replacement Training and the Impact of Crime Curriculum, she knows first-hand how important service delivery is to impact change among juvenile offenders. Shannon has served on several juvenile justice state committees over the years and is committed to constant quality improvement measures and in delivering quality programming to youth.
